We Have Entered our 20th Year Online
The website simplybible.com first went online in 2002. This coming year, 2022, will be the 20th Year Online
The past 19 years has seen the website grow to where it receives 4000 to 5000 visitors daily.
The site achieved growth through the years of around 6 or 7 new study pages per month on average. At the end of 2021 there are more than 1500 study pages (not counting numerous comprehensive indexes to the study pages).
There have been six major upgrades to the site —the first in 2011, and the most recent in 2019. These upgrades kept up with rapid advances in coding and scripting languages reflected in improved appearance, speed, and easier operation of the site for users. Since 2019 the site has not been in need of any further significant upgrade.
One of the goals in the later upgrades was to make the site work well on mobile smart phones. These are by far the most common device among users of the web site. Furthermore Google ranks websites according to "mobile usability". if your site isn't mobile friendly to a high standard then you don't show up in Google searches.
New Pages on simplybible.com
In this 4th Quarter of 2021, we prepared 11 new study pages and added them to the website. This brings the number of study pages on the site to 1,525.

Now here are the key metrics for the site in the fourth quarter of 2021. The statistics are shown for each month of the quarter.
Note that in the following table Pages means web pages opened and viewed by visitors. Visits means the number of visitors who opened those pages. Google means the approximate number of clicks for our pages on the Google search engine. And PDF means downloads of the PDF versions of the web pages.

For the twelve months to the end of December 2021, the number of page views was 2.8 million. (Source Awstats).

YouTube Videos
Notwithstanding that Google inserted ads into video viewings, we added 13 subscribers and many videos were viewed multiple times.

Odds and Ends
CHURCH. We continued to hold Sunday morning services in our home, with one Christian lady still meeting regularly with us using Zoom.
EMAILS. We received some emails, mostly saying thank you for the website. One person thought highly of my paraphrase of Ephesians in the studies of that letter, and believed many would find it useful.
DECEMBER DIP. This quarter saw figures drop as is usual for this time of year. The drop was greater than it's been for some years, but the figures are still quite good and they will probably rise again as they did in previous years. The "December Doldrums" are a fact we have to live with at the end of each year.
A BLESSED NEW YEAR. This is the last report for 2021 and a new year begins. May you be blessed in 2022.
