❖ CROSS —The crucifixion of Jesus took place on Friday April 7, AD30 according to Dr Orville E. Daniel’s A Harmony of the Four Gospels (Baker Books). Dr Daniel points out that “the dates and order of events... cannot be entirely determined with indisputable accuracy”.
❖ CALVARY/GOLGOTHA —where Jesus was crucified. “Calvary” appears only once in the Bible (Luke 23:33 KJV). Latin/Roman Calvarius, Greek Kranion, Hebrew Golgotha. All three mean [Place of the] Skull (John 19:17). “Calvary” was not a name used by Bible writers.
