Brethren, What Shall We Do?  —After Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost, the crowd asked the apostles, “Brethren, What shall we do?” (Acts 2:37). We compare the account in Acts 2:37-40 with a statement attributed to Max Lucado, 'My only contribution to my salvation is my own sin'.

The Day of Pentecost (Acts 2)  —The promises of old come to pass in the resurrection and ascension of Christ and his outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost signifying that he is now Lord and Christ on David’s throne in heaven (Acts 2:31-36).

Acts 2:1-13  —A study of Acts 2:1-14, about how the apostles received power through a baptism of the Holy Spirit. This fulfilled the promise Jesus had made to them just before his ascension.

What Peter Preached Acts 2:14-39  —A study of Peter's sermon on the day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:14-36  —A verse by verse study of Acts 2:14-26. These verses record Peter’s sermon on the day of Perntecost following our Lord’s ascension.

Acts 2:37-47  —A verse by verse study of Acts 2:37-47. These verses describe the establishment of the very first church of Christ. This happened in Jerusalem on the Pentecost following our Lord's ascension.

How the Word was Heard - Acts 2  —Acts chapter two is about Peter and the other apostles preaching the gospel in Jerusalem. The chapter not only tells us what Peter preached, but also gives us insight into the hearts of the hearers, and this lesson identifies that insight.

Acts 2  —Acts chapter 2 rendered in simple clear sentences. Readings entitled “Miracle of Many Languages Spoken”, “Peter’s Powerful Message”, “Christ’s First Congregation”.

Grace and Pentecost  —On the day of Pentecost, many were saved. However, many were unsaved also. What necessary things did the unsaved fail to do that caused them to miss out on salvation that day?
