❖  ONLY BEGOTTEN —unique, one of a kind. Jesus is the “only begotten” Son of God, yet “all who are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God”(Romans 8:14). Isaac was not Abraham’s only son, but the “only begotten” son of promise (Hebrews 11:17).

❖ REGENERATION —Regeneration means new birth, rebirth, being born again. This must be preceded by a death of sorts. Especially, when being born again in Christ, one must enter into Christ’s death and be buried with him (Romans 6).

Regeneration Defined  —On simplybible.com certain technical or special words in the Bible are studied and explained in our glossary. Each lesson provides a word family, definitions, Greek and Hebrew references, a scripture chain, comments, and links to related lessons.

Baby Baptism  —Examines the question of whether babies should be baptized. Looks at the state of innocence, the question of nature, and the steps of obedience that accompany baptism.

The Second Time  —A tract by Ron Graham published in the late 1950s by a group of young Christians

The O in GLORY Jesus the Only begotten  —The PLACE of Jesus as the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God who has first place in God’s family.

Ten Deep Things John 1:1-17  —The first 17 verses of John’s account of Jesus, point to ten deep things. They are listed with a brief comment on each. Presented in two parts. This is PART 1.

Ten Deep Things John 1:1-17  —The first 17 verses of John’s account of Jesus, point to ten deep things. They are listed with a brief comment on each. Presented in two parts. This is PART 2

From Out of the Dust  —An inspirational lesson connecting the creation of Adam and Eve, the birth of Jesus Christ, and our own seemingly insignificant lives.

What is Regeneration?  —Regeneration is renewal or rebirth, being ‘born again’. Rebirth is important in the doctrine of Christ. It is the bringing back to life of a person who is spiritually dead in sin.

Born Again Christian  —People say “born again Christian” because they believe that two kinds of Christians exist. There are those Christians who have experienced the new birth, and other Christians who supposedly haven't. They are the spiritually unborn. This belief is false.

Do You Not Know?  —This lesson is about baptism, especially Paul’s challenging question, 'Do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ were baptized into his death?' (Romans 6:3).

God’s Son is Born  —Over the centuries the prophets spoke of the coming Christ, and the fulfillment of prophecy unfolded. When “the fullness of time” came (Galatians 4:4), the promised Saviour entered into the world. He is the Son of God who took upon himself our human nature and became one of us.

Isaiah's Son (Isaiah)  —We take a look at the prophecy in Isaiah 7:14. In this lesson we consider the nearer fulfillment, in the person of Isaiah’s son.

A Virgin Shall Conceive  —We compare Isaiah 7:14 with Matthew 1:23 and consider the words of Isaiah as quoted by Matthew, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”.

The Birth of Jesus  —Some professing Christians reject the Bible story as factual. They do not believe in anything supernatural.

The Renewing the Anchors  —The fifth of five lessons on the theme “Anchors in the Storm”. In this lesson, we consider renewal as an anchor when the storms have ceased for a time.

The Priceless Creation (1)  —Some facts about the human soul, as a lead-up to Paul’s statement that we are created anew in Christ.

The Priceless Creation (2)  —We consider how Jesus Christ can bring renewal to our souls.

The New Birth  —believe, obey, receive. God reveals the greatest news ever, issues commandments to mankind, and gives magnificent promises.

Abortion —What Does the Bible Say?  —We look at four questions or issues that underly a Christian's attitude to abortion, including abortion immediately after conception.
