Upholding Law SERIES  —There are certain doctrines about divine law that are misleading. This series examines how the law of Christ fits in with faith, grace, and other important matters discussed in the scriptures.

Faith and Works  —Paul teaches salvation by obedience of faith, not faith alone. Otherwise he’d contradict Moses, David, James, and even himself.

How God Helps Us Keep His Commandments  —An encouraging aspect of the providence of God.

How Do You Believe?  —Three stories in the Bible help us to distinguish three kinds of belief.

What Did They Do Wrong?  —Nadab and Abihu made a fatal mistake. They were worshipping God, and God struck them dead. What did they do wrong?

Good Works Required  —(Galatians 5:13 to 6:10) Paul makes good works a part of faith. Although Christians are free from the law, they must keep the commandments of Christ. Paul shows this to be essential to salvation

The Ten Commandments  —The laws written on tablets of stone at Horeb, are an important part of the Bible. However they were not the basic law of God as many people consider them to be.

His Burden is Light  —Keeping God’s commandments is a burden to some people, but it should not be. That’s what this lesson is about.

Law and Faith  —Examining the relationship between faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to his law.

Law and Grace  —This lesson allows Paul to cast some light on his statement that we are not under law but under grace.

The Greatest Commandment  —A lesson of some depth. It's about love, law, and faith, and it may surprise you.

Christian Intolerance (2Thessalonians 3:6-18)  —This passage reminds us that Christianity is a religion with rules and discipline. It has a stern and intolerant side to it.

Law, Sin, and Grace  —Examines the message of Paul that we do not receive God’s grace by repudiating his law. Paul sees God’s law and grace combining, not conflicting.

Faith and Obedience  —Paul begins and ends his letter to the Romans with a statement of his mission. It is “to bring about obedience of faith” (Romans 1:5, l6:26).

God's Law in Your Heart  —Notices that when promising the new covenant, God said, “I will put my law within them and on their heart I will write it...” (Jeremiah 31:31-33). Why is the heart the place where God’s law must be?
