❖  LIGHT —The word “light”in the Bible often has the spiritual sense of that which brings enlightenment to those in spiritual darkness. Thus the gospel is called “a light” (Isaiah 9:2), Jesus said, “I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). John says, “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all” (1John 1:5).

Bible Verses About Light  —Here's a list of Bible verses about light and enlightenment.

Spiritual Enlightenment SERIES  —A collection of individual sermons which have the same aim: namely to enlighten people about some important issue of the heart.

The Gospel is the Power  —Three kinds of power in the gospel... the power to enlighten, to save, and to establish.

We Beheld His Glory  —We discuss the human nature and the divine nature of Jesus Christ. We defend the traditional and orthodox view. A CHART is included, outlining and indexing the other five lessons in the “GLORY” series.

The Self-Centered Heart  —We are taught by the example of Jesus to think of ourselves as servants of others and to put their interests above our own. We are not at the center: others are. This may surprise you, because it is the lost secret of a happy life.

The Short-sighted Heart  —Jesus Christ lifts our mental horizon to seek the things which are above. When we are spiritually able to see beyond this world, our heart can set upon God’s eternal purpose for us.

Enlightenment  —Discusses the Source and revelation of all light, and the children of light.

The Revelation of the Light  —There is but one unvariable spiritual light, and this is the light of God. But how is this light transmitted into our hearts? It comes by revelation.

Our Loyalty to the Light  —Jesus said that light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light (John 3:19-21). We must love the light rather than the darkness, and love requires loyalty and commitment else it is not love.

Spiritual Insight  —The true second sight is the spiritual insight, and the light of the inner eye is the Bible.

Ignorance and Innocence  —How does God view sins committed in ignorance? Does he deem a person innocent who sins without realising it?

Five Principles of Understanding  —Five attitudes and acts of the mind are required in order to gain an understanding of the word and will of God.

They Don’t Know  —It's an unpleasant fact that many people in this world are ungodly and in spiritual darkness. In regard to God, they don't know what they are doing, or what they are talking about, because they don't know God. They need to know him.

Ten Deep Things John 1:1-17  —The first 17 verses of John’s account of Jesus, point to ten deep things. They are listed with a brief comment on each. Presented in two parts. This is PART 1.

Ten Deep Things John 1:1-17  —The first 17 verses of John’s account of Jesus, point to ten deep things. They are listed with a brief comment on each. Presented in two parts. This is PART 2

Light and Darkness - In Which Will You Walk?  —The word “light” in the Bible often has the spiritual sense of that which brings enlightenment to those in spiritual darkness. Thus Jesus and his message are called “light”. Read this lesson to see how essential is this light to your life!

The Light of Christ  —(Revelation 21) Heaven is a place of eternal light and no darkness at all. In that place the light of God and his Son will shine forever.

No Night There  —In the last two chapters of the book of Revelation, a vision of heaven is presented symbolically as a jewelled city of light and, “There will be no night there”.

Depth of Insight  —This discernment or insight given us by the Lord is not meagre. He doesn’t give glimpses of enlightenment, but a fulness.

Walk in Light (Ephesians 5:1-21)  —A verse by verse study about the manner in which God’s holy people should conduct themselves in daily life.

Our Right Set of Values  —Value the precious promises (1Peter 1:4), Value our precious faith (1Peter 1:7), Value the precious blood (1Peter 1:19).

Our Right Set of Values 2  —In this lesson from 1st Peter on values, we learn from Peter the last four of the seven things that a right set of values will recognize as very precious.

God's Agenda for Humanity (1Timothy 2:1-4)  —God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”. The salvation and enlightenment of humanity has always been the will and work of God.

God's Goal of Oneness (1Timothy 2:5-8)  —There is but one path to eternal life, the path of faith in Jesus Christ and full obedience to him. This one faith is the center of the gospel.

Salt and Light (Matt 5) salt  —Salt and light have properties that make them very apt symbols of the Christian.
