Christ is All (Colossians) SERIES  —This series approaches Colossians from the principle of fullness or “allness” which Paul applies to most of his statements in the letter. Paul is trying to rescue from the false teachers this great principle: “Christ is all and in all” (Colossians 3:11). This principle is sometimes called the all-sufficiency of Christ.

The L in GLORY Jesus the Lamb  —The PERFECTION of Jesus as the LAMB of God whose precious blood can take away all sins of all people.

Paths of Grace - The Perfect Path  —A Journeys of the Soul lesson. We trace the ideal path that the soul should take. God has provided this path out of his kindness, goodness, and love. One special human being walked this perfect path setting us an example. First of a trilogy.

The Path Jesus Walked  —One special human being walked the ideal path, the right and perfect path that every soul should take. Jesus set us an example in the path he followed. Second of a rrilogy.

The Arrows of God  —The arrows of God are faith, hope, and love, these three. Each arrow needs a target, energy, and penetration.

Pressing On to Perfection  —On four occasions in the course of his letter, the writer to the Hebrews interrupts his teaching about Christ to exhort his hearers about their lack of diligence and their potential to backslide.

The Perfect Priest  —Continuing the previous lesson about the credentials of Jesus Christ based upon an oath sworn by God, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek”.

Jesus the Perfect Sacrifice  —The body and blood of Jesus, because he was without sin, made an offering that satisfied God once and for all.

Jesus the Author and Perfector  —Jesus is an author who finishes his work. His work is our faith enduring through many trials until finally glory comes and we live happily ever after. Every day Jesus is helping this story to be finished, and we should consider how he is doing this.

Pressing On to Perfection (1988)  —Study in Hebrews presented at a lectureship in 1988. Same title as another lesson in our Hebrews studies, however on this occasion I treated the subject differently.

Christ, Source of All Spiritual Wisdom  —In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. By that wisdom his church is united, perfected, and protected. (Study in Colossians, includes “Mind and Flesh”)
