First letter of Peter SERIES  —comprehensive studies in the first letter of Peter, showing how God treats us right and makes us right.

Second letter of Peter SERIES  —studies in the second letter of Peter, looking at why Peter wrote, and his teachings about Christian growth, false prophets, and the second coming.

The Foundation of the Church (Outline)  —Our main text for this study is a statement that Jesus made to the apostle Peter. Jesus said, 'You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church' (Matthew 16:18). We will look at Peter’s place in the foundation of the church.

Did Paul and Peter's Gospel Differ? —Some people say that Paul’s gospel to the Gentiles was different from Peter’s gospel to the Jews. It is said that there were two gospels, one preached to the Jews and another preached to the Gentiles. This idea, however, is mistaken. We will look at some facts showing that Paul and Peter preached one gospel to both Jew and Gentile.

The Lie that Brought Death  —Ananias and Sapphira told a lie. The account in Acts 5, is one of the most unsettling stories in the Bible.

Lord, To Whom Shall We Go?  —When Jesus asked his disciples whether they would leave him, Peter answered with the question, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life”. One of them, Judas Iscariot, did go to someone else. (John 6:68).

First Peter Index  —A comprehensive hyperlinked table of contents for our motivating lessons on Peter’s first epistle.

Adventures of Peter  —Among the apostles and evangelists of Jesus was Peter, a fisherman from Galilee, one of that special group of twelve whom Jesus chose and trained during his own personal ministry of the gospel.

What Peter Preached Acts 2:14-39  —A study of Peter's sermon on the day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:37-47  —A verse by verse study of Acts 2:37-47. These verses describe the establishment of the very first church of Christ. This happened in Jerusalem on the Pentecost following our Lord's ascension.

Acts 3:1-11  —A verse by verse study of Acts 3:1-11. These verses describe the healing of the man born lame, a miracle Peter and John did at the temple gate.

Acts 3:12-16  —A verse by verse study of Acts 3:12-26. These verses describe Peter’s message after healing the lame man at the temple gate.

Acts 4:1-22  —A verse by verse study of Acts 4:1-22. These verses describe how the religious rulers of Jerusalem tried to stop Peter and John from preaching after the healing of the man born lame.

Acts 9:32-43  —A verse by verse study of Acts 9:32-43. We look at Peter’s Miracles in Lydda and Joppa. Peter healed a paralyzed man and raised Tabitha from death back to life.

Acts 10:1-23  —A verse by verse study of Acts 10:1-23. These verses are about two visions, one experienced by the good man Cornelius, and the other by the apostle Peter. God prepares these two men, a Gentile and a Jew, to meet each other.

Acts 10:24-33  —A verse by verse study of Acts 10:24-33 about Peter the apostle going, by God’s directive, to the house of Cornelius a Gentile.

Acts 10:34-48  —A verse by verse study of Acts 10:34-48 describing Peter’s preaching to Cornelius and his household, and the falling of the Holy Spirit upon them.

Acts 11:1-18  —A verse by verse study of Acts 11:1-18. Peter's own account of the Conversion of Cornelius. Through Peter’s eyes we get some extra insights.

Acts 12:1-17  —A verse by verse study of Acts 12:1-17. These verses describe James’s death, Peter’s imprisonment and escape.

2Peter Outline  —This page is an outline chart for our studies in the second epistle of Peter.

Christian Growth  —Peter speaks of the power of God, what it can do for us, and what it helps us to do for God.

Why Peter Wrote  —Lesson in 2Peter 1:12-21 where Peter gives his reasons for writing.

False Prophets  —This page is a study of Second Peter chapter two —comparable with Jude's letter. It’s about false prophets who lead people into heresy and apostasy.

Peter’s Three Swords  —This is not a lesson from Peter’s writings, however it is an old sermon outline which I felt would make a good finish to the two series of lessons covering Peter’s first and second epistles.

From the Flood to the Fire  —A lesson from Second Peter Chapter 3 providing three important principles that keep people faithful in times when most people stray away from God.

Feed My Sheep (John 21:15-17)  —This lesson is about Peter’s love for Jesus, and the service that Peter would do for Jesus because of that love. First, we listen in while Jesus and Peter talk to each other; then we consider Peter’s love for Jesus, the hurt that Peter felt, and the task Jesus gave him.
