➤ Events at the Last Day —One last day for this world. We don't know when, but we do know of seven main events of that day.
➤ The Solution to Sin —Will power and ascetism are not the solution to sin, nor are good works. What then is the solution to sin?
➤ The Dying Thief —The story of the dying thief on the cross does not teach us how to become a Christian.
➤ Accountability to God —About that stage in life when one becomes answerable to God.
➤ The Sleeping, Stupid Heart —God’s word urges us to wake up to ourselves. Yet many of us go through day after day unmindful of God’s purpose for us and his coming judgment upon us. To live like that is plainly stupid.
➤ Heaven and Hell —Does the Bible promise an eternal home in heaven? What will happen to our present home, planet earth? Is there an eternal hell? Find out here.
➤ The Two Reapers (Revelation 14:14-20) —An Exposition of Revelation 14:14-20. John sees a vision of two reapers. One is like the Son of Man. He reaps from the earth what is his. Another angel then comes to reap the clusters of grapes that remain. He casts them into the winepress of the wrath of God.
➤ The Great Day of God —This is one of the great themes of the visions which John recorded in the book of Revelation.
➤ The Throne and the Books —(Revelation 20:12-15) These key verses tell especially of the heavenly throne before which stands every person, great and small, all who have ever lived.
➤ The Severity of God —The goodness and mercy of God go together with the severity and wrath of God. Living in the fear of God helps to assure our salvation.
➤ Why the Warnings? —The scripture warns people to repent, obey God, and be saved through Jesus. Those who continue in unbelief and disobedience will be condemned. But God wants us to be saved. That's why he warns us.
➤ Preaching, Preparation, Patience (2Timothy 4:2) —Some preach only love, grace, hope, comfort, peace, and suchlike. They preach only what is positive to make people feel good. But we must also reprove and rebuke. We must do so in patience and truth, yet we must do so nevertheless (2Timothy 4:2).
➤ The Armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-24) —A verse by verse study about the armour of God that enables us to win the battle against spiritual forces of darkness.
➤ If a Man Dies, Shall He Live Again? —You could hardly think of a more important question than this. Is death the end of a person, or is there hope that death is temporary and the dead shall be raised up to live again? Job believed in the resurrection; so did David and Daniel. Jesus assures us of it.
➤ Remember the Danger in Delay —There is always an urgency to deal with sin when it enters our lives. There is extreme danger in delay, and this we must never forget.
➤ Invited and Compelled —The Parable of the slighted invitation (Luke 14:16-24) is about people invited to a dinner. When they refused the invitation, other people were rounded up and compelled to attend. What is this saying about grace and choice?
➤ Dividing the World in Two —about the parables of the Two Gates and Two Roads, and the Sheep and the Goats.
➤ Tomorrow We May Die —Five passages from Isaiah that are quoted in the New Testament, and which lead us to think about the uncertainty of this life compared to the certainty of what lies beyond.
➤ Second Coming of Christ —(1Thesssalonians 4:13 to 5:11) Paul teaches about the second coming of Christ. Christians believe not only that Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended into glory, but also that he his coming again in the future to judge the world.
➤ The Helmet of Salvation —As Christians we are at war - not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness and darkness. To win this war, to fight the good fight, we must be adequately equipped. Part of that equipment is 'the Helmet of Salvation' (Ephesians 6:10-17).
➤ Noah and the Flood —(2Peter 2:5, 3:3-7) In his second epistle, Peter uses the destruction of the old world by water as a precedent for the future destruction by fire of the world we live in.
➤ From the Flood to the Fire —A lesson from Second Peter Chapter 3 providing three important principles that keep people faithful in times when most people stray away from God.
➤ The Beginning, the End, and Between —In Colossians, Paul tells us how our Christian lives on earth began, and how they will end. But his main concern is the middle. Between the beginning and the end, we must continue in Christ. This lesson is about continuing.
➤ Christ, Judge of all Conduct —Our first lesson in Colossians and the “Christ is All” series begins with the full pleasure of God. As Christians, we are expected to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to fully please him” (Colossians 1:10). What’s the secret of success in doing this?
