Christ is All (Colossians) SERIES  —This series approaches Colossians from the principle of fullness or “allness” which Paul applies to most of his statements in the letter. Paul is trying to rescue from the false teachers this great principle: “Christ is all and in all” (Colossians 3:11). This principle is sometimes called the all-sufficiency of Christ.

The Fool (has said in his heart)  —God reveals himself in four ways, and the Bible calls a fool anyone who says there is no God.

Immortality: Bible and Science  —Popular science claims that advances in technology will soon make human beings immortal. However, Jesus Christ since long ago has been able to give mankind eternal life without the help of science.

Design and Chance  —Are you a product of design or chance? At your conception, you were one single tiny cell. Now your body consists of around ten million million cells. These human cells individually and collectively show an origin of design as opposed to chance.

Spirit and Matter  —The Bible makes a sharp distinction between spirit and matter. Matter is bound to time, and spirit is bound to eternity. Spirit and matter are mysteriously connected, but one does not originate from the other. Both spirit and matter originate from God.

Order and Chaos  —The Bible has many examples of order and chaos. In this lesson we consider these opposites at work in the creation, the flood, and the Christian era.

Seven Questions Scientists Cannot Answer  —Scientists do not yet know the answers to these seven simple questions. Therefore no scientist can rationally take the position that there is no God.

AI is Not God, God is Not AI  —Some people think that there is no God at present, but that Artificial Intelligence will one day take on the role of God. That god will be a god we can believe in and so do away with atheism.

Is Belief in a Flat Earth Biblical?  —Some atheists say the Bible is a “flat earth book”. They say this to discredit the Bible. But many professing Christians are also insisting that the Bible teaches a “flat earth cosmology”. They say this to discredit modern science! The result is an undermining of people’s assurance that the Bible is God’s word.

Are There Aliens on Earth?  —Popular science often asks the question, Are we alone? Many believe that extraterrestrial beings leave another world, visit Earth, and even live among us. Is this true according to the Bible? If so, do these aliens give us assurance of our salvation from Earth's destruction?

Is Mars for Man?  —Man visited the moon last century and came back home. Well now, in this 21st century, greater plans are afoot. Some people of earth wish to migrate to Mars to build a city there. The project has already begun. But does God approve?

Faith and Science  —We consider Science and Faith, addressing three issues that relate to Christian faith and science. They are: Evidence, Essence, and Enemies.

The Great Flood  —Did the great flood cover Planet Earth entirely, or the vicinity of Messopotamia only?

How Big Was Noah’s Ark?  —Another discussion about the great flood.

Genesis One, the Beginning  —We consider the first three verses of the Old Testament, about the beginning of the universe and the state of planet earth before God transformed it.

The Origin of Life on Earth  —Three puzzling questions about the origin of life are answered by three simple statements in Genesis 1.

A Jealous God  —Atheists are fond of making lists of Old Testament quotes about God being jealous, and other quotes that make this jealous God appear cruel, vindictive, and unjust.

Relative and Absolute Truth  —A short but informative discussion of relative and absolute truth from a Biblical perspective.

Our Right World View  —The Great Things are Unseen (1Peter 1:7-9), This World is Passing Away (1Peter 1:23-25), God is Above all Kings (1Peter 2:13-15).

Scared by Climate Change  —There are three topics that scientists are talking about which have caused widespread concern, and even fear. These topics are: Climate Change, Artificial Intelligence, and a Godless Universe. In this lesson we look at Climate Change from a Biblical perspective.

Scared by Artificial Intelligence  —There are three topics that scientists are talking about which have caused widespread concern, and even fear. These topics are: Climate Change, Artificial Intelligence, and a Godless Universe. In this lesson we look at Artificial Intelligence from a Biblical perspective.

Scared by a Godless Universe  —There are three topics that scientists are talking about which have caused widespread concern, and even fear. These topics are: Climate Change, Artificial Intelligence, and a Godless Universe. In this lesson we look at the theory of a Godless Universe from a Biblical perspective.

Christ, Creator of All Things  —Paul makes three related statements about Christ and the universe (Colossians 1:16-17). First, All things were created by him. Second, he is before all things. Third, In him all things hold together. They are the points of our lesson.

God’s Purpose - Our Choice  —God has always tried to demonstrate to humanity that his purpose never changes. He has also left every person the choice whether to follow his purpose or reject it. That is no contradiction. Bible examples show this.

Serving a Purpose  —A study of God’s purpose in governing each church of Christ through the servanthood of elders and deacons.

A Sermon’s Purpose  —A good preacher has not just a subject, but also an object. This study classifies sermons according to seven aims.

A United Purpose  —Many Christians are go-it-aloners. Being deliberately untied instead of united deprives one of the joy of fellowship in common purpose.
