Spiritual Wellbeing  —The various elements of spiritual wellbeing and joy in Jesus are shown in an outline summary of the letter.

A Good Memory Can Be a Bad Thing  —In Philippians 3:13, Paul says, 'Forgetting the things which are behind, and reaching forward to those which are ahead, I press toward the goal...' In this lesson we ask what things should we forget and leave behind?

James Rebukes Arrogance (James 4:13-17)  —James's message is not against doing business, but against the arrogance of thinking you are in control of your life. God is in control, not you. He can allow your business to fail, and even your life to disappear, when you least expect it (James 4:13-17).

Seven Lovely Things  —In Paul’s letter to Galatians there are seven short passages that are well known and loved by every believer in Christ.

Mary's Magnificat - Psalm of Praise  —Mary the mother of Jesus visited her sister, Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist. Mary uttered a beautiful Psalm known as the Magnificat. Its themes are praise, humility, joy, fear, faith, mercy, strength, promise, and blessing.

What Does the Lord Require of You?  —In Micah 6:6-8 the questions are asked, “With what shall I come before the Lord?” and “What does the Lord require of you?” The passage shows that God requires your dependence, your attention, and your righteousness.

Vain Worship  —When Jesus quotes Isaiah 29:13 in Matthew 15:7-9, he uses the translation, “In vain do they worship me...” The verse in Isaiah reveals three elements of worship that make it vain.

Grace to the Humble  —A sermon from James 4:6-10 showing the need to be humble. There are three challenging things James tells us to do that he promises will change your life.

A Humble Attitude  —Humility, meekness, and lowliness are often associated with feebleness and insipidness. But if meekness is weakness, then Jesus was weak, for he was certainly meek and lowly.
