Are You a Christian in Ambition? If you cannot answer “yes” to these questions, then you do not have the AMBITION of a Christian. You need to correct this.
Are you seeking to please God rather than to please people?
Acts 5:29, Colossians 3:23, 1John 3:22
Are you striving for spiritual wellbeing rather than aiming first for physical fitness?
1Timothy 4:8, 3John 1:2
Are you trying to win souls for the Lord? Is it your ambition to populate heaven?
Mark 16:15-16, Romans 1:16
Is it your desire to be Christ-like rather than to be conformed to the fashionable image of the world?
Romans 8:29, Romans 12:2
Do you wish to give more to your community than you take from it? Do you aim to be a net giver?
Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38
Do you long for heaven more than anything this world can offer?
Colossians 3:2-4
A common misconception of Christians is that they have opted out of real life, and use religion as a crutch. They are too weak to cope with reality.
Christians have not given up on life. They have not lost the will to struggle and achieve. Rather they have found a purpose in life greater than any worldly pursuit can offer. They have discovered a power far greater than anything ordinary mortals are capable of in their own strength.
Christians are ambitious people with their sights set on the highest goal any human can conceive and achieve. Christians see unbelievers as wasting their lives on petty temporal pursuits, losing the great eternal blessings God offers them.
(1Peter 1:3-6, 2Peter 1:2-4).
